Organic Deep House Radio - Guest Mixes

Dangerous Dougal on Facebook

So, I've become quite the Facebook user over recent months. I've been looking at other forms of media to promote Dangerous Dougal (my DJ name) and Dangerous DJ Tech online. My Facebook page had been neglected for quite some time and so I decided to put some effort into it.

One Facebook group I joined was 'Organic Melodic Deep House DJs' as I'm a lover of this genre of music. Along with many posts promoting mixes one thing I spotted on Organic Melodic Deep House DJs was posts from and related to Organic Deep House Radio. This got me intrigued...

Organic Deep House Radio seemed to be mentioned everywhere on the group. There were posts from Organic Deep House Radio themselves and posts from DJs affiliated with it. There seemed to be a real sense of community, with DJs having shows promoted on the Facebook group and DJs commenting on these posts regularly. Everyone appears to be really charged by Organic Deep House Radio and so a little delving deeper was needed.

Organic Deep House Radio - What is all about?

First things first, what have I found? Well, if you head to the website you'll find a website listing all the residents DJs, live radio played every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evenings and links to their social media and SoundCloud page. The website also has an area for live chat during the shows. The coming schedule, a podcast player showcasing previous artist interviews and a page for mix submissions.

And Organic Deep House Radio on SoundCloud?

The SoundCloud page provides listeners with access to all the past shows and DJ mixes. It's easy to navigate and provides easy access to either listen again or catch up if you miss a weekend or show.

Organic Deep House Radio - My own experiences

So, I thought why not get in touch? On the website they provide an email address to fire over a DJ mix so I thought why not?

Since emailing over my mix I've been welcomed by a like minded group of Organic Deep House music lovers. I've listened online live on both Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings, been involved in the live chat and been welcomed on Facebook. I've been impressed by the explosive growth of the station, wealth of talent they appear to be showcasing and the commitment the team are putting behind all the DJs and listeners.

I sent my email and received a prompt response to my enquiry. The team at Organic Deep House Radio liked the DJ mix I sent over and asked if I would be interested in providing a guest mix to be featured in May.

Before my mix went out live over the designated weekend, I featured in the promotional material listing the weekend's schedule. They also sent me a promo design using my Lego design (see above).

Organic Deep House Radio - Featured DJ mix

I've since emailing the team had a mix featured on Friday 3rd May. The team asked me to send over a photo to use in my DJ profile and asked a little about me. Before my mix went out live over the designated weekend, I featured in the promotional material listing the weekend's schedule. They also sent me a promo design using my Lego design (see above).

I logged on live and got involved in some great chat with like minded lovers of Organic Deep House Music. It felt great to be a part of the growth of something very special.

During the week after the show aired I spotted all the DJ mixes from the weekend went up on the Soundcloud page, my mix included. It's available to listen to here, along with all the other mixes from that weekend.

Organic Deep House Radio - Further Guest Mix

I've been offered a second DJ mix next month. I'm now prep'ing music and looking at what I'm going to put together. So, to sign off I've got to say, watch this space for a fresh new mix, and keep an eye on Organic Deep House Radio. I have a feeling this one's going to go BIG.  : )
